Visionary Speaker: Allie Ottoboni

Impact Table Visionary Speaker Sessions are private member and invite-only gatherings that bring respected women leaders in impact to share about their personal leadership and impact journey and important lessons learned along the way.

Our guests share an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their own leadership and impact journey and share tips and tools they’ve learned, giving members the real talk, connection and truth we all crave and inspiration you can take with you on your own path.

Following the speaker’s share is an open Q&A with the speaker and time for members to break out into small groups.

About Impact Table Visionary Speaker Sessions

Too many women in social impact are under-resourced and under-supported, navigating their leadership and impact journey alone, or in a silo.  We know, doing the world’s most important work isn’t a solo gig.  One way we can stop patching together a leadership journey built on trial and error and instinct alone is to listen and learn from others share the truth behind how they’ve navigated own leadership and impact journey, and share about our own experiences.  Through Impact Table Visionary Speaker Sessions, we remove the veil and the misconceptions of what it takes to lead an impact journey that truly transforms lives and we inspire and equip Impact Table members to elevate their own leadership.

About Allie

Allie Ottoboni is President of eBay Foundation where she guides multi-million-dollar investments in programs focused on inclusive entrepreneurship. A champion of Trust-Based Philanthropy, which reimagines the role funders can have in building a more just and equitable society, Allie has strategically led the eBay Foundation team to increase annual grantmaking (5X from 2019 to 2020 alone), has built an impressive portfolio of grantees impacting over 300K entrepreneurs and has galvanized thousands of eBay employees through giving and volunteering programs. Allie has also guided the development and growth of the eBay Foundation Board, including inviting and welcoming two Board Members from outside the company – a first for the eBay Foundation. This marks a key step in how the organization is deepening the experience and expertise of its governance, staying authentic in the work, and providing learning opportunities for all. Prior to leading eBay Foundation, Allie led grants management for the Richard & Rhoda Goldman Fund and was a Regional Ride Director for Best Buddies International.

Allie is a self-proclaimed psychology nerd and lifelong learner who has never met a whiteboard she didn’t love. She is right in the middle of introversion and extroversion and gets energy from helping people get to “aha” moments by asking powerful questions, building trust, and centering relationships in all that she does. She sees philanthropy, nonprofits and community engagement as powerful agents in shifting systems to create more equitable communities for all.

She lives in San Jose, CA with her husband and two children. Among other things, Allie is an avid reader who often has a book recommendation ready for you at a moment’s notice, enjoys baking and once operated a side-hustle bakery out of her home kitchen, and loves being outside exploring new hiking trails or pickleball courts. She is known to get a little too competitive during family board games and loves a good theme for any party. Allie is an alumnus of Indiana University, Bloomington where she earned a BA in Psychology and Spanish.
