RETREAT AGENDA

Day 1

1:00 PM | Registration Opens

2:00 PM | Welcome & Opening Session
We kick off Connect & Elevate with a welcome from our hosts and curated networking and connection.

3:00 | Visionary Speaker Session
Guest Speaker
Too many women in social impact are under-resourced and under-supported, navigating their leadership and impact journey alone, or in a silo.  We know, doing the world’s most important work isn’t a solo gig.  One way we can stop patching together a leadership journey built on trial and error and instinct alone is to listen and learn from others share the truth behind how they’ve navigated own leadership and impact journey, and share about our own experiences.  Through Impact Table Visionary Speaker Sessions, we remove the veil and the misconceptions of what it takes to lead an impact journey that truly transforms lives and we inspire and equip Impact Table members to elevate their own leadership.

3:50 PM | Stretch Break

4:00 PM | Step Into the Spotlight
You. Us.
Right away we invite you to be seen, to be heard, to be a part of. Throughout this low-pressure, high-support experience we hear from each and every guest on a topic of your choice, personal or professional. We get to know you more as you take the ”stage” to share your voice. Whether you’re a superstar speaker or feel sick at the idea, we’re here for you. Your voice is important, and we can’t wait to celebrate your brilliance.
Location: Glass House

8:00 AM | Breakfast

9:00 AM | Opening Circle: Introductions and Intentions

10:00 AM | AM Break

10:30 AM | Morning Workshop: Where I Am, Where I’m Going
Take inventory of both where you are today + where you want to focus your energy moving forward, through thoughtful personal inquiry and reflection.

11:15 AM | Morning Breakouts
Connect with others in small groups specific to the area where you want to focus. Go deeper, identify next steps, and share them for accountability and mutual support.

12:00 PM | Lunch

1:30 PM | Afternoon Session: Your Vision
In this empowering afternoon workshop, you’ll be led through a future-self visualization and have the space to dream, envision, and articulate your aspirations for your impact journey.

2:45 PM | Free Time & Headshots

5:30 PM | Bubbles and Brags
Gather ‘round and bring your brags! As women, we’re quick to cheer each other on but often hesitate to own our own wins — big or small. Enjoy fireside chats before retiring to your room for the night.

CONNECT & ELEVATE 2025

WEST COAST LOCATION

OCTOBER 2025

1507 Lincoln Ave, Calistoga, CA 94515

Renovated in 2021 and located in the heart of Downtown Calistoga, Dr. Wilkinson's Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs has been providing good times, wellness, and relaxation since 1952. Home to healing geothermal mineral pools, therapeutic Calistoga mud baths, sunlit glass room gathering spaces, and plentiful California open-air lounging, whether by the pool or under the stars, Dr. Wilkinsons is waiting.

  • The Connect & Elevate 2024 Retreat is a multigenerational gathering for respected women leaders in social impact.

Connect & Elevate is a private event, for Impact Table and Girls Club Collective members and guests. Private by nature, but inclusive by design.

We insist on curating spaces and experiences that welcome and respect the diversity of people, thought, experiences, and perspective.

If you’re a mission-driven woman leader (or ally) doing the world’s most important work, committed to creating a positive impact in the world, and seeking leadership and personal growth beyond the typical business setting we invite you to belong with us.

    A note on terms:

If you consider yourself a woman changing the world, we consider you a woman changing the world. Period.

That said, we also appreciate that gender is a social construct and not binary. We are borrowing the definition of women from Pooja Lakshmin, MD, who in Real Self-Care quotes Silvia Federici, who said, "To me it has always been mostly in terms of a political category." Pooja goes on to write, "I use the word women inclusively to mean all people who suffer under the oppressive conditions that have typically been associated with the female sex, which includes queer folks, trans and nonbinary people, and intersex and agender people."

We're inspired by adrienne maree brown’s definition of feminine leadership: “not just women leaders, but leaders who shift our understanding of how power can be held.” For us, feminine leadership is about collaboration, connection, and prioritizing the good of the collective over individual gain. If that approach and our space resonate with you, we would absolutely love for you to join us. And if there’s more that we can do to create a space that feels inclusive, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

  • Calistoga, CA is located in the beautiful Napa Valley. The closest airport is the Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa. Flying into Sacramento International would be the next most convenient airport. After that, flying into Oakland International or San Francisco International Airport would be our recommendation.

If you plan to take a ride share, note that Uber and Lyft are easy to get to the venue, but that they can be troublesome to find for your return flight, so we will work with you to suggest a local car service.

If you plan to rent a car or drive locally, Google Maps can map you directly to the venue. Parking will be provided.

  • More details on mini adventures and add-on activities will be added soon.

Think pool lounging, mud and mineral baths, spa services, bicycles, hiking, wine tasting, and of course, a curated give-back activity.

  • Cancellations up to 90 days prior to the event will receive a full refund less 15% administration fees.

Cancellations up to 90 days prior to the event will receive a 40% refund.

We can not provide refunds for registrations canceled less than 90 days prior to the event.

  • October in Calistoga is simply the best. Average highs of 79, and an average low of 46 degrees. You can plan for the days to be warm and the evenings to be cool.

  • Attire for Connect & Elevate 2024 is a blend of Smart Casual and Chic Comfort. We want you to feel comfortable and stylish while embracing the beautiful surroundings of Northern California. October in the valley brings golden California hills, blue skies that seem to go on forever (no guarantees, of course) and gorgeous sunsets. Forget dark, stuffy, and boxed in. Think light, airy, fresh and free!

Whatever you wear, we know you’ll look great. What’s most important to us is that you feel good.

Here are some suggestions to help you pack:

    1. General Attire:

Daytime Sessions & Workshops: Comfortable, casual clothing that allows for ease of movement. Think smart casual - such as comfortable pants, jeans, or skirts with a blouse or sweater or a dress. Note, in some sessions we may sit on the floor (on cushions or floor chairs of course) or meet outside. Layers are recommended due to variable weather.

Evenings (Receptions, Dinners, Fireside Chats): Casual yet chic. Dresses, skirts, nice pants, or stylish jeans paired with blouses or elegant tops are great options. A light jacket or sweater may be needed for cooler evenings.

Morning Movement Classes (Yoga, Meditation, etc): Activewear or yoga attire that is comfortable and allows for a full range of motion. Yoga mats will be provided, but don’t forget your mat if you prefer using your own.

Natural Mineral Baths, Hot Springs, and Cold Plunge: You’ll want a swimsuit, a cover-up, and a hat. Flip-flops or sandals are recommended.

Outdoor Activities: If you plan to participate in any outdoor mini-adventures or services, pack suitable activewear and sturdy shoes.

Professional Headshots:We will have mini headshot sessions for professional headshots, so consider bringing a professional outfit or something that makes you feel confident and polished for your close-up!

    2. Footwear:

Comfortable Shoes: There will be some walking involved, so bring comfortable shoes. Sneakers, sandals, or flats are perfect for daytime activities.

Evening Events: Stylish yet comfortable shoes. If you choose to wear heels, know there will be some walking involved for our offsite dinner on day two.

    3. Weather Considerations:

Layers: The weather in Northern California can be variable in October, so layers are essential. Pack a light jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings.

Sun Protection: Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are recommended for outdoor activities.

    4. Other things to pack:
Consider bringing a water bottle, notebook, and pen.
